This project was FiveCo’s very first one. The goal was to test a system that would enable the transfer of energy without the use of conventional wiring (through a laser-fed photovoltaic panel), so that a robot could move forward without a battery. It could be considered as a later-generational model of a remote-controlled car.
After only 2 months of development, FiveCo handed over the ultra-low-consumption mobile robot to Astrium, comprised of four motorized wheels, a color camera and a radio communication system.
