Liquid Crystal Glass

FiveCo has developed the electronics allowing to bring to life liquid crystal glass screens. The glass can be customized to include any design, logo or text. FiveCo first imagined these glass screens with thin strips, and later with fine traits (about half a millimeter) to allow for a wider range of animations and designs.
This system was introduced in world premiere at the 2008 BaselWorld Watch and Jewellery Fair, in partnership with Dietlin – Artisans métalliers. Since then, about ten different such glass screens have been produced, thus revealing the subtlety of liquid crystal glass.
